ProGym Bodmin: The History

Richard Hidderley set up Progym Bodmin in 2013, the third gym after Launceston and Saltash. He could see a need for a body building gym in the town and from the very beginning he furnished the gym with the best equipment around. The vast majority was supplied by Watson’s of Frome, who are known for the best quality, most user friendly equipment. Simon, the founder, and Rich have known each other for over 30 years, a relationship that Rich greatly values.

Since then the gym has grown into a community hub where all are welcomed, and where you have been able to drop in for a coffee and a chat without even lifting a weight! Rich is pleased that he has been able to keep the business that he has built up in the family, with his niece Evie and her partner Adam taking over and carrying on his legacy. Rich will still be around but will be definitely taking a back seat with Evie and Adam taking the gym into its next phase. He wishes them every success.
